You'll be overseeing our digital workspace, ensuring our systems are as reliable as the witnesses we provide.
You'll have an opportunity to:
* Write ColdFusion, front\-end JavaScript, and database structure (SQL Server) that gets used right away. You won't spend weeks rolling out a few lines of code.
* Build interesting things! You'll be working on operations level software with input coming directly from the staff – and yourself.
* Modernize the stack: beyond CF, you'll help evaluate and pilot new technologies that can improve our deployment and development workflows.
* Take an active role in project and business requirements planning. You'll have a lot of say in the creative process.
* Develop features within a well\-defined, modern code architecture (no spaghetti)
* Work independently alongside a great team on a flexible schedule, fully remote/no travel required
You'll be:
* Highly proficient with ColdFusion (2021\+), JavaScript, jQuery, SQL Server
* Familiar with ColdSpring, FW/1, dependency injection, AOP, JSON, Python, service\-oriented architecture
* Comfortable working in an immersive JavaScript environment including client/server communication, controllers and separate namespaces.
* Self\-motivated and comfortable working independently without a lot of moment\-to\-moment supervision
* A proactive communicator
* Good at getting up to speed with new systems and technologies
* Innovation\-minded: naturally curious about the "next step" in tech, with the ability to distinguish between high\-value tools and passing hype.
* Experienced with testing completed features and adhering to naming conventions and best practices
* A nice person
