Role Description
CPC is searching for a full-time ColdFusion developer in the Nashville, TN, area to upgrade, enhance, and maintain systems developed internally. The Developer will serve as a project leader and will be responsible for the back-end and front-end development of CPC's web applications as well as the progressive improvement of current systems.
Primary Duties
- Maintain and develop CPC's existing web applications. Monitor and ensure integrity of applications for stability, accuracy, and security. Analyze and resolve issues and bugs.
- Improve infrastructure. Coordinate with CPC staff to translate all functional requirements. Streamline, simplify, and enhance current functionalities and processes. Determine data needs and structure.
- Provide technical support to users. Complete logic flow charts and supporting processes and policies documentation for applications.
- Manage complex projects. Define business requirements and objectives and establish deadlines and deliverables that meet business needs.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, team members, and IT consultants to evaluate, identify, and improve applications. Enhance current functionalities based on user specifications and best practices. Provide excellent customer service to both internal teammates and external clients.
- Participate in educational and technical development opportunities to support best practices in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of software applications.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Back-End Web Development and Programming skills
- Front-End Development and Web Design skills
- Experience in web development with ColdFusion
- Strong understanding of web development technologies and protocols
- Ability to optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
- Ability to travel periodically to CPC's home office in Kentucky
- Familiarity with the agriculture industry is a plus
