We are looking for a skilled ColdFusion Developer to join our team on a contract-to-permanent basis in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, Phoenix Arizona or Remote. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to build, maintain, and enhance dynamic web applications while contributing to a transition toward modern frameworks. Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain ColdFusion applications to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Optimize database queries and manage data using SQL and NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features and functionalities.
- Debug and troubleshoot existing applications to improve performance and resolve issues.
- Contribute to the migration process to the ColdBox framework, including architecture design and implementation.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Conduct peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in Agile Scrum practices to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Utilize bug tracking tools like Atlassian Jira to monitor and resolve technical issues.
- Develop APIs and integrate third-party services to enhance application capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a ColdFusion Developer.
- Proficiency with various ColdFusion versions and frameworks such as Fusebox, Mach-II, FW/1, or ColdBox.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB.
- Experience with modern software development tools like GitHub for version control.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and bug tracking tools such as Atlassian Jira.
- Solid understanding of backend development principles and API integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
